Does anyone esle think.......
the police monitor these types of forums with the view to locating 'meets' and the opporunity to enforce the speed limit?

It's a fair bet they knew we would be in Portmerion at lunchtime at the last Supermeet, seeing as there was a talivan sat in the village about 100 yds before the entrance......

yeah I'd have thought the Skyline,Scooby, GTO type boards where the cars are insanley quick and lots of mods would be of interest

A couple of reasons, I have seen quite a few instances on more muppety boards (OK, so I sometimes read these) where guy's have turned upto meets to find the police waiting there to send them on their way.
As for the other, I don't want to go into too much detail about this but some time ago when the police needed some info from one of our members in Honda-R, they turned up with a load of printouts from our forum.

it would make sense for them to monitor them for intelligence purposes but I'd have thought perhaps they'd be more interested in monitoring where large gatherings might be taking place and the impact on traffic etc as opposed to catching people speeding but I could be wrong
