Does anyone else's roof not fold properly....
Hi all, I've started to notice that my roof doesn't fold down quite properly when I lower it in cold temperatures.
It tends to stick up a couple of inches from where it should be - so that you can see the lip of the roof in the rear view mirror while driving. No amount of fiddling with the switch will get it to drop any further. However, after driving for a little while I can then lower it the final couple of inches without any problem.
I'm assuming its to do with the flexibility of the fabric when its cold, which after driving for a while gets warmed up, but I was just wondering if this is a common problem or if I need to get something adjusted....
It only seems to happen if the temperature is less that about 5 degrees.
Any comments/advice useful....

Depends what you mean by "really cold" - Mine folds fine but I always make sure it has at least warmed slightly in the sun first.
I dont think anything that is frozen folds very well!

Unless it physically looks frozen my procedure is thus:
* Lower fully
* Raise fully
* Lower fully again
* Drive for about 1 minute
* Raise halfway and then lower fully
This gets it to fully retract approximately 95% of the time If its physically frozen I wait until the internal heat has really warmed it up.

Mine is exactly the same. Folds nicely during the warmer months but in this cold weather it seems to stick up a touch like yours. Asked the stealer when it was in for a duff battery if he could have a look at it. I wondered if a drop of white grease might help.........................
