Dodgy service?

Dodgy service?
Recently had my 45000 mile service done and the dealer lost my service book. Luckily have records for previous services so could get it stamped up. That was two weeks and a few undered miles ago. Just checked my oil and it's at the top of the H on the dipstick (ie above the X marks and has been driven for some miles since top up). Do you think this is a bit slack?

The dealer was Greenacre Honda in Clitheroe who have goor reports otherwise and I've got to say up until this time have been fair with me. The new service book is now ready to be picked up - is there anything I need to ensure is done to ensure it's authenticity for future (when selling etc) apart from having old services stamped up? From recollection there is all the chassis and engine ID in the inside of the first page - anything else? Cheers.

Make sure you get a letter from then stating the reason for the service book being changed. You don't want to get into the situation when you sell and the dealer is no longer existing and can't back up your claim.

Thanks for advice. I've picked up the book now - it's not the same as I recall and just seems to be generic Honda - should it not be S2000 specific? I seem to recall interim services etc (this just has standard 9000 mile services in. Also in vehicle data, they've only filled in the VIN number and registration/date. There's no Engine number, colour code, interior colour code, radio code and perhaps most importantly key code. Should they have found out and filled in this info or will it be easy enough to retrieve from elsewhere should it ever be needed? I'd be grateful if anyone could check their books before I give them a call.
