dodgy deal?

I am 23 years old, have a young persons right foot, never driven a RWD car before the S, live in Rural Berkshire/Hampshire and with a bit of help from Dad mastered how to drive a RWD car pretty quick without traction control.
Honestly, the car is not that bad, it does warn you before it lets go and then is fairly controllable when it has. Go to an empty car park and play with it for half hour and you do learn the characteristics quickly.
I am still learning how to drive the car everyday and I am by no means an expert, but I have never thought that the car *needed* traction control. You have to respect the power, know when to use it and how much you can use at any given moment depending on road conditions, but that just makes driving even more fun! I think you are almost neutering the S by giving it VSA.
Don't rule out the car just because it doesn't have VSA, go and drive one without it and you might find yourself a goodun!

PS Don't rule out S2000 4 U, just exercise caution as you would with any dealer. Just because they specialise in S2000s does not mean they know anything about them. A good car normally speaks for itself, you shouldn't need convincing of how good it is and a decent salesman knows this.

My previous S didn't have VSA and I just dealt with the twitches without thinking about it, the present one has VSA and I got a hell of a fright when the flashy light came on, to be honest it won't save you from the big moment.
As for S2000 4 U , after reading the tales of woe I wouldn't go there, but , if you can take a knowledgeable assistant it might be worth a look?

Check out MB's one in the for sale section. Lovely example (Although not standard) and I'm sure a lot of people will be envious of you on here.

Thanks guys for all the help. As I said I have read the countless negative posts on s20004u which is why it's so annoying that they now have my perfect car for sale. I want an 06 onwards gt model with hard top and VSA in black....possibly moonrock....maybe even red. Less than 40,000 on the clock and I want to pay no more than £14,000.....and no tan leather!
