It was the looks to begin with as I had never driven one but would see a Nurby occasionally round town and it always made me look and think 'one day, oh yes, you will be mine'
Once I got to drive one and got over the initial 'sh1t this thing is fast' and I learnt to stop driving it like any other car I had and started dropping down gears to get better handling round bends instead of braking and stopped changing gears at 2000/3000 revs etc (which Euro Trip definitely helped me with) then I loved the performance more.
Now that I've got use to that, it's probably more the fact that I think it's a great design and like Arran I love the viper head front. IMO the design won't date.

Have always loved the looks - there is nothing on the car which I dislike looks wise. Performance is very important too, but I could tolerate a slightly slower car, but not tolerate a slightly less pretty car.
I have never been able to own a car which I have not liked the looks of. What can I say?! I'm superficial!

It was the look from the drivers seat down that long bonnet and bulge of the wheelarch that just topped the performance thing for me and the fact the roof came off. I had an SLK from work at the time of purchase.

I wanted something more practical and easierto live with on a daily basis than the elise but didn't want a boxster or slk.
I think it looks ok but it doesn't move me. Same with the performance and handling for me.

I got mine mainly because of the looks. Everything on the car means business, the designing is simple and perfect in my mind with none of the unnessecary parts that some other cars seem to grow.
I think its the best looking 2 seater on the road today.
