...have red seatbelts?

My drivers side seatbelt is painfully slow to retract and is a bit old and faded, I was thinking of replacing it and think red might give the all black interior a bit of a lift lol

About to say the wrong thing, but;

I don't think any S2000 interiors had red belts as standard.

Moreover, changing the belts means removing the pretensioners, which means expense and most worryingly, splitting (removing) the roll hoop plastics.

I hope you're feeling brave

I remember reading that the slow retraction issue was actually subject to a recall originally.

Would a little bit of WD40 on the mechanism not help a little bit first?

No red belts here. Normal standard black ones for an all red interior.

My red interior had grey rather than black seat belts.

The recall was here as well, the main dealer mentioned it to me about my last S2000, I sold it not long after the service but they would have booked it in to be done along with the spray bolts

They might not change none standard belts on the recall

The slow recoil's a normal Honda PIA.

It's exacerbated by dirt on the belts & guides, & being open the S2000 collects more.

I steam clean them regularly, which helps a bit.

+1

The Prelude, Civic, S2000 and even the new Accord Tourer have or have had woeful seatbelt recoil!

Honda over in the US offer a lifetime warranty for safety related items so would have to replace the recoil mechanism for free. I doubt Honda UK offer the same service!
