Read somewhere on the US boards it's possible to squeeze the thing behind the rollbars when the roof is up... never tried it yet though

It is but then you have to extract it to lower the roof and you must fit it to keep the roof down.
I'd rather have the flexibility to drop or raise the roof at a moments notice.
Never found and dirt issues with no using it on my 4 S's
