Second car is worth every penny IMO. I commute forty miles a day and use the beater to go to the supermarket ect. Dont have to worry where i park it or what i put in it.

Much to the girlfriends disgust i usually go for old hot hatches like 205gti's or similar so i can still have a bit of fun in them even though they do look a bit chavy.

...from the days when M-B made very decent cars.

If he's luck, he may own it some time.

Well I've got the job, so a second car is definitely on the cards now. I've got the option on an 18 month old Ka, with 6000 miles on the clock. Price is going to be <

If you commute on A+B roads I would think twice about a beater. You'll be constantly stuck behind twats you can't go past thinking "shat i wish I was in the S now" and also the SUN IS COMING

I did 80 miles a day for the past year in my last S (and 2yrs in a scoob before that) and it was great to not be in a POS or repmobile.
