Default Do HID bulbs fuse?

One minute it was working and the next... No main headlight on one side. I was told it's very rare for them to fuse, is that right?

Or are they like any other bulb and could go at any time?

If you mean dip beam then yes they do blow and yes they are expensive.

If you mean high beam, your in luck as they are normal bulbs.

Hi I'm new to this, I usually have a look around and I think I might be able to help you on this one

I'd be surprised if they had fused, they usually when HID lamps go, they explode

Check fuses No 43 and 45, they're for the HID lights. It might also be worth swapping the working lamp over to see if it's the driver unit.

Anyway last time I looked for HID lamps (about 2.5-3 years) ago they were about

Just a bit of advice for when you are taking the bulb out, remember that because of the high voltage generated by the light, the cover that you need to remove (on the back of the headlight) to access the bulb has a security screw on it that has to be removed with a torque head with the hole in the end. Normal allan keys and most torque sets wont fit it! I know!!! If you cant get one you can use a small monkey wrench but its a real PITA!!!!

Worth remembering before you pull everything off and realise you have to go to Halfords!!!
