I was thinking about going over to the AD08's but I'm amazed at the grip from the bridgestones re050's so going to stick with them. Go for a drive tomorrow and have a fresh start with the car again. You will love it, I'm loving mine since I've put the charger on.

Seeing as your in Wales, I'll do you a favour and let you swap yours for my pretty much standard car

It's just one of those things I would imagine, since Dixon sells AD08's I cant see him ever have put below par tyres on a 450bhp that he built, along with the fact the AD08 have pretty much legendary status. I had a mate who blew two Pirelli's on track once in his Quattro, and that was a close call too, but he soon fell back in love.

As I posted above I have a full set of four AD08's with 7mm all over in the garage doing nowt as they where going to be used in the future when I'd used up my 050's, since I should be having a run around in the next couple of weeks they won't be going on for a long time, so your more than welcome to purchase them, as it must only be around 60 miles to Chirk? Should get you back on the road booted well asap. Dixon's taken he details and will be getting back to me once Yokohama have been in touch.

My Falkens coped with my car quite well, and that was running around 400hp.

I had exactly the same thing happen after having a set of Yokohama ?A539 tyres fitted to my Dolomite Sprint alloys (it was about 20yrs ago).

Admittedly they were second hand tyres not new and about ten miles from leaving the tyre fitting shop one rear exploded. Turns out the fitter had nicked one rear and one front when transferring them on to my wheels, the front tyre didn’t go fortunately but did have a large bulge on the side.
