Default DIY Alignment

It took 3 hours but following the process detailed by Rob Robinette myself and a mate did a full alignment on my S2k this evening.
I used the same digital laser level as used by Rob and got all settings spot on.

Prior to replacing the seized adjusters, I had noticed that the front wheel alignment was wrong as the front tyres had scrubbed off the insides and the car was very difficult to push, especially forwards,
Having replaced all the seized bushes and adjusters and done the alignment, the car handles a dream and I can now push it, the reduction in rolling resistance is significant, so hopefully will greatly improve the poor fuel economy

Just need the new tyres fitted now, then check the settings again.

Link to the process? I'll be interested to understand how you measure the castor, can't figure that out.

I believe some of the F1 teams still use string, but the laser works really well and is very accurate, I did the wheel alignment over 7 meters which meant we could measure to the mm and get it perfect,

I used string and a magnetic angle gauge to do mine.

My string was free,

I only paid £54 for the digital laser level so still much cheaper than paying for a full geo. I like money saving tips.
Caster and camber were not too difficult,
I made the blocks like the ones in this thread, which made it easy to get to the adjusters

Thanks for the link,
pushed mine back and forwards on planks of wood for little extra height after adjustments made and fumbled around under car for many hours wearing my knees out.
