Its def not a bracket. I seem to remember its for other territories.. sound deadening, or maybe emissions. I`ve read an explanation of it on here before but I forgot it.

I just know its not a bracket, as when I removed my stock, nothing is attached to it.

It is a sound deadending. It look like the emision goes flow two times through the silencers before leaves the exaust, that could be a reson why our silencer is so wide


EDIT I though that you were talking about the bend pipe on the silencer EDIT

It's a Helmholtz resonator - cuts the boom 4 cylinder cars get around 4000 rpm.
