Disappointed with - Crown Bushey

I had one clutch replaced at Marshall, Reading and one clutch replaced at Bushey. Both times I was very happy with the service & results.
When I took my car in for its 22.5k oil change at Bushey they noticed that my VIN hadn't been stamped to say the oil jet & spark plug recall work had been done. I said Marshall had done it, and Marshall confirmed this when they rang them, but Bushey were not satisfied and insisted they do it again.
This says to me they do have sufficient knowledge of the car, and they do care. They could have just taken Marshall's word for it, and stamped the VIN for them.

Just booked the annual service with Crown Bushey - extremely polite and understanding. Martin remembered my car from last year and even booked it in with George - the hero technician who really knows how to take care of the car. 
Edit - they gave me a 15% discount too

Right,
So looking at the content in this thread it seems that everyone else is getting good service from Crown in Bushey / Watford.
So it begs the question:
Why am I not then ?? I have never been unreasonable with them shouted at them, swore at them or anything like that so why?
Is it cos I didn't buy it from them ???

I didnt buy mine from them either Col
Just make sure you speak to Gary, and have George see to your car AB and I are probably meeting there on 5th June, why dont you come with us
