different shades of silverstone!?!?
Hi all.
I am currently in the market for an s2000 and i quite like silverstone (which is handy because 99% of them seem that colour) but some of them look grey and some of them look a very standard silver, ive seen a few on the road which do look more of a light grey but since the photos ive seen look so very different im wondering if they actually do different shades of silverstone, i know on my old captiva blue EG there was a couple of slightly different shades but all called cap. blue and wondered if this was a similar deal.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The dark grey is Moonrock, and less common than the "normal" lighter silver, which is Silverstone.
I think Sebring Silver perhaps became available here on the later models, which is lighter still. I could be wrong though.

Silverstone is a very dirt-friendly colour - you don't have to wash it very often! Suits me! Though I'm often startled by the results when I do clean it. Mine had a clean and polish at its recent service and is looking much more silvery than I can remember before!
That and the different light conditions in the photos are enough to give the impression of different colours.

Here is another example of the 2 silvers, a Silverstone car with a Moonrock hardtop:

I don't think Sebring silver was ever available in the UK.

I really like the moonrock - am I right in thinking its was 02 or 04 onwards?
Now, should I ever get mine resprayed, Captiva Blue (as per my first beloved civic) will be on the list of options.

04 onwards I think. Mine's an 04, and I've never seen an 03 in MR.

There's synchro silver too
Dunno if Honda just changed the name from silverstone
Post 08 cars IIRC
edit; apologies Grittyshaker, that sounded like an echo of your previous post; skim reading

I thought that Synchro Silver looked like an intermediate shade between Silverstone and Moonrock and it also seemed to have a more pronounced metallic flake.
I saw one in the Chiswick showroom at the end of 2008. being inside it looked a little closer to moonrock but close inspection and you could see the extra flake in it.
