I have tried a differnt soloution the the flappy tape fix to my cracked rear plastic screen I bought some window tint film from Fleebay for £10 in clear. I cut it roughly to size then stuck it to the outside of my window with the soloution. It is a bit tricky as glass is rigid not like the flexible plastic but it has stuck well. I plan to do the inside as well so it seals the split properly. Thought it might be an idea for others who hate the tape fix it will do for me until I get my roof replaced.
