Default Diff & Gearbox oil change

The car goes in for its first service this week (9800 miles). I'll be giving the dealer the Redline oil purchased from the last Group Buy (for the engine).

I was thinking about changing the diff and gearbox oil also (Redline again), but prefer to do this myself. I don't know the dealer, and therefore have no idea that they would actually do as I requested. I don't think asking to see the empty bottles is proof that the oil has been used.

Is the job too much hassle, and would it be better to trust it to the dealer after all?
Any advice from someone who has changed either would be appreciated, i.e location of the filler plugs, ease of access, etc.

As a side note, it was interesting to read via a link in the FAQ's that the rear jacking point is right underneath the diff oil drain plug!!!!

Thanks.

P.S. I have tried the search engine, but gave up.

I found that a problem too.
I've put the word out at work to bring in a 23mm open spanner and a 24mm socket..... I don't have either!
Very weird sizes for the diff.

Incidentally, if anyone has used Redline oil, what are the recommended types for the diff and 'box?
I've just been on the Redline site to check I have the correct viscosities, and I've been left even more confused than when I started!

THere'a thread I brought back to life on this point - look for last post late last week. I'm running Silkolene BOA 90, others are using Redline 75/90.

IIRC Spanners found it very difficult to find the 23mm spanner needed. Anyone know where to get one? (it has to be flat too Iirc)

For the diff you need

1 x US quart (946ml) Red Line Heavy ShockProof gear oil.

Not sure what goes in the gear box though.
