Diff and Gearbox Oil Change
After the GB on Red Line oils I decided to see what my stealer would charge for changing the diff and gearbox oil for me (saves me the hassle! )
ME "could you give me a price for changing the diff and gearbox oil in my s2000"
STEALER "what oil are you using"
ME "Redline"
STEALER "we have never done this before"
ME "but I want it done, it has never been done in 4 years"

Why don't you guys do it yourselves? It's very simple. Shouldn't take more than an hour with the right tools.

23mm flat combination ring is the one you need. Unusual size - Important to know you have one BEFORE you drain the oil from the diff. Otherwise only option is to turn the car over and pour the oil back in through the drain plug (which is a different size - 22mm I seem to remember)

Was going to do mine today, then found I didn't have the right spanner for the diff . Did the gearbox no problem tho. Car has covered 25400 miles and oil did look dirty.
Need to get me a 23mm ring

Wait till you see the sludge that comes out of the diff - after only a few K.
Here is a picture of a suitable ring so you know what to look for. If all else fails print this out enlarged so it is 23mm across the flats, stick it on a 7mm thinck piece of chrome vanadium steel, and cut around the outline with a plasma cutter. Not as good as a forged item, but could get you out of trouble.
