Default Diff broken .... again!

I really can't believe it - 29 000 miles, and it's going in tomorrow for its 4th diff. No, not a typo, I did say 4th. That's just 3 000 miles since they put the last one in. Honda UK have ordered my dealer to do a full technical report as to why it keeps breaking. I conclude that, either I'm the most unlucky s2k owner on the planet, or the two dealers that have worked on my car are the most incompetent on the planet. 4 differentials at about

I would go with the latter, that the 2 dealers are incompetent. There must surely be another problem which is causing the diffs to break.

for two dealers to have not resolved the problem 3 times suggests it is something none of them are likely to have coped with. After all they all get the same training.
It does suggest the diff failing is a symptom of another problem they have no idea about!
Get HUK involved directly!
Maybe time to push a compensation deal against a newer car?

Excessive noise, vibration when accelerating, all sysmptoms I had when I thought my diff was duff, turns out after much swopping of parts that the driveshafts were worn

A diff isn't 5,500 gbp either, that almost the cost of an engine

I would of thpught Honda UK would already be asking questions themselves seeing 3 warrenty claims fora diff on the same car, are you listening HUK

HUK love hearing about their dealerships and people's experiences with them

Haven't we seen a few cases of dealers using completely the wrong oil in the S2k diff?

Could this be the case here I wonder.

At least you're not paying for it Ric.

Almost forgot.

Ask HUK to send one of their technicians out to supervise the work at the dealers
