I don't understand that statement? What would the law do? Prosecute people caught spilling it or what?
Yes. Diesel is one of a biker's worst nightmares. In the dry it's very difficult to see but there can still be a film of it on the road. In the wet it's actually easier to see, at least in daylight.

I went down about 5 years ago on the approach to a roundabout. Doing no more than 25/30 mph on an apparently dry road on a warm summer day I applied the front brake and the front end went out from under me. Luckily I had a good set of boots on since the bike landed on my ankle but I didn't break it.

People overfill diesel tanks or the breather mechanism isn't working properly and the result is that fuel spills out. As you would expect this doesn't happen often when the van/lorry/car/tractor/JCB is travelling in a straight line. So look out near garages, roundabouts and other junctions.

Yes, I can confirm that S-02s and diesel don't mix.

How many "lunatic, speeding bikers" spanking it has really been caused by the filthy stuff over the years?

Sadly, the standard of HGV drivers seems to have deteriorated massively in recent years, so it is a much more common phenomenon.

C'mon, BMW, Hindenburg power cannot come a day too soon!
