Default Did anyone else get their Garage Queens...

I missed the opportunity of sunshine and dry roads as I was recording this weekend. However, as the roads were still dry tonight and as the car hadn't been out the garage since November (the longest time by far that it's been locked away in the 5-6 years that I've owned it) tonight was the night.

I'm not exactly slumming it with beaters (ITR and ATR) but the S2000 is something else. I didn't realised I'd missed it so much - the tail led handling (sorry 04>ers you just won't understand ), the engine (so much better than either Teg or Accord I'm afraid), the wind in the hair experience.

Superb - hope it stays dry for tomorrow's commute

BTW Car doesn't seem to be having any ill effects after being garaged since October with only one outing in November. Only thing that I noticed was a little bit of condensation in the speedo after 30 minutes hooning.

Bunch of Jessies. Real S2000 owners drive their cars right rough the winter.

The S2000 isn't a nice enough car to be a garage queen

Well, mine doesn't live in a garage, but it did get an outing on Saturday - and I bet I had more tail-out action than you Neil!

I had so much fun I decided that I'm definitely keeping it.

Mine's been through many winters. Unfortunately at 9 years old and 98k it can't keep on going through every winter. And keeping it down to 5k a year will do it good.

Besides if it wasn't a garage queen I wouldn't have had the excuse to buy the ITR

I don't doubt it Wayne.

If anything, it was buying a runaround that made me remember just how much of a car the s2000 - and how utterly amazing it is at so many of the things it does.

I drove it for a week because i had to do an oil change on my runaround and ended up saying to hell with it - i'll sell the runaround at the end of the week.

But yes, i felt like a new person dropping the top saturday and holding my hand occasionally over the windscreen in the sunshine.

I'm sure running beaters is why I haven't got bored of it yet. 3 months off and it was like driving a new car today

Yes, top down and off into deepest Hampshire.

Had lunch with Sol Campbell and his girlfriend (well they were at the next table )

Got back in the car and a latch broke so we had to drive back with the hood up

Anyone got a spare?
