I guess I just took the advice from my mrs and slowed a little. She had bought me a track day at spa the week after for my birthday so didn't want me to wreck my car

Nice. Can't wait to take the S2 round there though I'm a little weary. Been about 6 times on TF days, I don't have a problem with them but I can see the appeal of a private trackday.
Had an off in a DC5 about 3 years ago at Schwedenkreuz at about 120mph which luckily resulted in only minor damage. Took a Megane R26R round there last year in about 8:40 which was an amazing experience, such a capable car.
My favourite drives were in an RX8 and in my Clio Trophy, both were so easy to handle at the limit you could just drift them around most corners with ease.
Nothing quite matches a quick lap of the 'ring

It was my 8th lap ever and I the time although good has potential for at least 10-15s better. Next year!
As I also went to Spa (my first time) on the same mini Road Trip I also share with you guys the links (particularly as Spa was mentioned on this thread!)
