Definitive way of protecting wheels
I have done a serach, but its proved inconclusive... there has been mentions of spray on stuff to protect from corrosion etc, but do any of them actually work?
Or will getting a good few layers of lacquer on the inside and out of them do the trick?
I have just put a deposit on an S, with PRISTINE wheels - I would like to keep them that way!

Right OK, well I will be driving it unfortunately - so that wont work.
A friend works for Nationwide and said that a few layers of lacquer wouldnt be a bad idea... I may try this also...
So the answer is to keep them clean!

I've used the supaguard product and it does help, but a good wax like wheelwax seems best and regular cleaning with soapy water to stop the brake dust baking on is the best method.

Im interestedi n this cause I'm being told by a certain wheel repairer that they wont give ANY guarantee on a diamond cut wheel (my 17's OEM) because they will chip then bubble. To which I replied that if it isn't guaranteed then I wont be buying from you!! But even Pristine only offer 6 months?? WTF!!??

no idea jonnyo.
Best way to protect the wheels is a coat of clearcoat imo before the wheels leave the dealer. No matter how hard you try they will eventually corrode so painting them is the only best bet imo

RimWax by Smartwax is highly recommended for protecting wheels, build up a few layers and keep it topped up.
Poorboys wheel sealant is also similar, both can be bought for a round
