Dealer test drives and Elephant UK
Just a little info for some people getting unaccompanied Honda Dealer test drives?? and also some info. about Elephant insurance,(my insurer).
First elephant, they will not insure any car to the same cover (i.e. comp.) for a test drive (or I guess a loaner if you have warranty work on?) they didn't even get to my policy details.
Secondly after referring this info to & speaking to my Honda dealer (I was going to try a 2.4 accord TypeS they have for 2 hours) they said they could arrange cover but their policies had a

Guess its down to each dealer the amounts.
I know when I borrowed a car a while ago when I was getting warranty work done, my insurer then (Tesco) gave free cover for 4 days on a courtesy Accord, but as soon as I mentioned TEST DRIVE, Elephant said no-way!
In the past when I loaned my ITR to Reg-Vardy for a Honda night (got a bottle of Moet and full valet for that nights work
) Honda where going to charge
