Dealer broke my cupholder cover
Put the car in yesterday to have a fault diagnosed, but after picking it up I noticed my little cupholder cover was open. I went for a drive today and realised they f*cking broke it and it won't close.
They've obviously done it with their elbow when entering/exiting the car (as opposed to pressing the headlamp washers as my regular garage always does), and have knackered the little mechanism.
Is it something I can take apart and fix myself easily or should I take it back to Hyndland Honda in Glasgow and get them to sort it out of principle?

Anything in the transmission tunnel can stop the spring keeping the top down on the cup holder. Mine did that when the clutch was changed, 2 minute job for the dealers to sort out, wouldn't do it myself but it can't be that hard.

you have to prise up the whole of the plastic trim, starting at the back, using your finger tips. If it IS a five minute fix, seems easier than driving to the dealers, etc.
My lid retractor mechanism gets caught on the extension loom I pu in to relocate the headlight washer button to the 02 position. It's a bit tight under there.

The dealers is 35 miles away and the traffic there and back into Glasgow is shite. I can't be bothered taking all that stuff apart though for something they've done.
