Oh man, put a decat on

Just get a friendly tester who will put yours on for the emissions test and then swap it back when they're done. My dealer will do this for me (when I get a decat for the FD2)

No more lean that would cause a problem.

This isn't a turbo car.

And even they can generally be decatted with no issue.

As said, it isn't illegal to take the test with a decat, so long as you pass the emmisions. In any case you either need to lean it out to try and pass, or put the cat back on. Of course you won't know if it'll pass until you try, so probably best to get it fitted, then taken off again afterwards.

Leaving aside the difficulty in weakening a engine running closed loop control, if you do run it weak it will probably pass on CO but fail on lambda due to the high O2 readings

Mine with no cat, an SC and 750cc injectors passed.
It had the same output as my mates Aygo. Strange

If you don't have already the decat (test pipe) and you are thinking to buy, then i will propose you the Berk test pipe. It is still a cat pipe (100 cells), you will pass MOT and it has almost the same performast as the test pipe.
