Which s2000s are dbw? I know an 04 isn't, did they change to dbw in 05 then change back to throttle cable? If so what years

They changed to dbw in 2006, everything until then is cable

I think 06 on is DBW, it was when vsa became an option.

All the cars with (originally) black centre console slider are DBW. WinFreak and zzkamikazz are right.

If your building a monster then does it matter what you start with as most parts seem to end up being replaced. The obvious example is Mr Pitts project car, it's built upon a a very recent model but so much has been replaced that it could of used a base car from any year.
