if the spark plugs look OK, try some fuel injector cleaner.. one of the dutch guys was getting misfires.. and orginated from crapped up injectors.. cleaner solved the problem.

Could be worth doing a few basic checks to start with. Wire harness connectors all made correctly and not damp. Check tightness of engine earth bolts etc. If you work your way aroundd the engine bay and do a pull push check on each connnector it won't cost you anything and will confirm at least that side

That connector thing is my version of engine management diagnostics too!
