3kg by airmail or similar (i.e. not boat) will be about 4000-5000yen.

also never under-estimate the weight of the packaging...I was pretty surprised when I was recently shipping something that the box and packaging was 1kg itself

When are you coming back to the UK? You could do a mammoth GB on anything from Japan
