I understand what you mean...but every bit of stiffening to the chassis will improve the suspension's chances of working more effectively. If you notice the Z4 comes with one already fitted...and I doubt they would spend the money if it was not so useful..however could be the Honda is already pretty stiff at the front end so does not need it so much.

in Jp, high speed corners tend only to be on the elevated motorways, which are often quite bumpy due to the metal joining plates across the road..I found the brace helps in dealing with the skipping effect you get...gives more confidence in the roadholding.

my only negative comment about the standard cusco one is that it's heavy..compared to the ti gear...but of course much cheaper.

I suppose you right - but I'm trying to convince myself it's not worth getting - save some pennies

What I'm really looking forward to is no more bump steer when really pushing the car hard.

I've looked at various chassis braces loads of times but have been put off by the insurance implications.

You can't really do a 'stealth mod' with the bright blue Cusco jobbies.

For the people who already have them, what was the response from your insurance company?

Chris.
Do we have to declare these mods?

Re insurance.
As these mods are supposed to "improve handling" I'd expect to get a discount on my insurance.

Actually "expect" is probably the wrong word.
"Don't understand how it could be anything else, but will probably get screwed anyway" seems to fit better.

I was thinking about getting a upper brace, but wasn't sure which or what to get.

If this is a better alternative, I am up for a GB given the great $ to
