On the face of it, no other mods would need to be done but by heck chuck you may find yourself wanting some new brakes very quickly with that sort of power. New Limited slip might be useful. New Exhaust ??? Anyone know what the standard Honda is good for ? Brian ?

Don't know on reliability but there are loads of guys in the US running Vortechs. Arsie (Uk owner) has the old Macca mobile which runs the Vortech supercharger along with about

the Macamobile holds up well.
Cameron used Tuning Japanese. They did a conservative job, ending up with 345bhp at engine, 250bhp at the wheels. Torque up from 160lbft to near 200. Fitted an intercooler between SC and throttle body. Cameron hit the oil and water cooling, rightly, suspension, tyres too. Clutch plate. Brakes were upgraded but that caused a failure of a (stock) caliper. Currently I am running with Cameron's racing pads on the rear - but they are too strong, causing fish-tailing because I reverted to stock pads front which don't have the friction. Consequently the tail wags the dog. Next step is back to stock pads rear to balance, rest up over winter while I build me garage, then we'll see.
As regards transmission, Cameron's opinion was that by adding 40% bhp and 20% torque the transmission becomes the weakest link, so his rule was, don't VTEC in 1st or 2nd (when the inertia of the car is greatest and hence strain on transmission at its worst). The car comes alive 90-140+ mph in 3rd, 4th and up. Cameron's a careful guy. Others may want to push the envelope more Me, I want to preserve the beast!
As to the cost, Cameron replaced the exhaust manifold (I read in his specs) and the whole exahust side and had to leave out the Cat Converter due to back pressure affecting good combustion. I will have fun at MOT time! A fuel mixer, throttle body and ECU etc. were needed too. I don't think a budget much under
