It is not easy to disable the passenger airbag on *any* modern Honda. I asked a couple of dealers if they could disable them for me (also have a CRV) but they refused.

I raised the issue with Honda UK with regards to disabling the airbag in the S2000. They asked me why I couldn't put the kids in the back seats

I wouldnt put a child in any sort of car seat in the front seat of a car with an airbag. My 6 year old is OK with a booster seat tho.

All too readily, based on my own experiences......

The complete lack of knowledge on the part of salesmen (and that's something I've found isn't just limited to Honda) about even the key features of the products which they're selling, let alone some of the more detailed information, is shocking. It's a wonder they ever actually manage to make any sales.

That's nothing mate ..... when I went to test drive the MGTF I asked (as a test) the BHP for the MGTF 160 (the names a hint) and the girl did not know. Not only that but she laughed and said

" Stupid aren't I ... and I have one as a display model "

Some dealers are thick !!!!!!!!! However the guy that took me out in the Type R last year was excellent .... he was passionate about the car. That's what I like to see

Product knowledge and a true passion for the car.

You could be mistaken for thinking that I am in sales and marketing huh ????

From the horror stories posted here it seems that many Honda service mechanics have a similar level off knowledge to the salemen !

Front facing or rear facing is irrelevant.... IT IS A HUGE NO-NO !! The explosive force of the air-bag operation can kill a child (and has done)

The F20C's at peak efficiency between 3,000 and 4,000rpm - which is where you want the gearing to be working for cruising.

Personally, I think the gearing change that would benefit the car most, would be lowering the final drive ratio a little. There are a few owners who have done this (you can get the parts from a few different places). An improvement across the range - then maybe you'd want a slightly longer 6th to go with it. If Honda ever did do a "Type-R" version, changin gthe final drive would be one of the bigger changes in the feel - it's one thing they've done with the NSX-R. I admit I'm very tempted...
