I contacted Honda UK w to enquire about this when I first got my S - not homologated for it in th UK for some reason.

I actually find I never need it now.

Engine noise is great at keeping you alert, and you always work the pedals , even in congested traffic.

I don't know what I was thinking. I like to waste money on gadgets but thinking about this I really don't need this. I do perhaps 2000 miles on the motorway in any given year. Most of the time I on purpose choose the scenic routes. Stoopid me!

NEVER use cruise control....not sure why you wouldnt be able to retrofit it to a UK car....

however...given the nature of the S and the UK road system...would you ever use it?

I kinda sympathise Jo, I occasionally have to drive down to Manchester in the S, and holding the speed 'limit' can be a pain in the ankle.

BUT Cruise in the S - that'd be like putting in a bigger slower engine so you don't have to change gear, or softening the suspension so it wasn't twitchy, or even adding a clock ...

O/T...do UK '04s have the clock on the instrument panel above the mileage? Just wondering, as I know the whole instrument cluster is different from the US ones.

okay back to topic...

Indeed they do, Lee. An invaluable addition and worth trading up all on its own

[QUOTE]Originally posted by dreamer I only ask, as I do some long journeys and find it a license saver to set the cruise on the Audi, and do exactly that....
