Default Creaky seat

This is slowly driving me nuts (said the man with the steering wheel in his pants hoho). I'm 5'10" so have the seat a little forward and after 4 months of ownership it's starting to get very noisy. This isn't the seatbelt hitting the side or anything, but the whole seat creaking and squeaking in a "leather fashion" if you know what I mean, with every movement of the car.

This a "feature" ? Or something I should bring up with the dealer at my first service in 500 miles or so?

(MY first service, not the car's - it's an 03 coming up to its 45k)

Someone keeps mentioning felt strips - any ideas where to get these from?

I know you said the seat is forward a little, but is it reclined enough for the bac to touch the back of the cabin? Mine was like this and drove me nuts, I've now angled the back up a notch and it's gone away.

Failing that you could try some leather feed/cleaner between the seat back and squab, in case it's rubbing there...

I have put on a fair bit of weight in the last few months, it's true

tim - you mean it WAS touching the back and now isn't, or vice versa? Think mine isn't at the mo. It doesn't sound/feel like rubbing, but the entire seat flexing & creaking as a result.
