creaky roof
i've owned my S since march this year and i've had the hardtop on quite a few times since then - put it on again two weeks ago and since then i've noticed it's been quite a bit creakier when driving than it had been previously.
i've applied some lovely vaseline to teh rubber seals(maybe not enough...) and i always make sure to attach the front clamps first then the rear ones.
i feel that the front clamps are maybe a wee bit loose but i may be imagining this - it's a MY03 car.
12000 mile service is coming up in a couple of weeks so as I was gonna ask the stealer to check it out.
any suggestions folks?

I'm sure I've read on there that applying vaseline is a sure-fire way to bugger the seals up.
What you need is some shin-etsu grease from your dealer. Does the job, I'm told.

Yeah yeah, whatever Mark. Heard it all before, shitsu is not the easiest to find, Even Honda don't know what it is!
Now who know how to tighten those clamps???
Billy, Vaseline is petrolium based and so perishes rubber, just slap some on your condom next time and see what happens. You need a silicon grease such as above, rare as hens teeth. A good bet is any guys who supply diving eqipment will have it as they use it for their rubber seals.

Mark, Shitsu grease sounds good, some thing for the RSPCA to worry about.
Graig Helford do a Silicon spray (which is what Honda use as a "get him off our back" fix) but they don't do the grease which is a slightly more permenant fix.
To be honest though its not a fix, as I have found. It will stop the squeeks for a week but really you need to adjust the clamps. THAT is what I dont know how to do.
