Creaking from the rear
When you go over speedbumps / potholes / bounce up and down on the back of the car, there's a high pitched metal on metal sound from the P/S/R.
Firstly I thought it was brake squeal because that's exactly what it sounds like, then the polybushes, but like I say it does it when you are out of the car and sounds metallic.
Everything looks fastened together, so I'm not sure.
Thanks

You can't weld two i4's together and turn it in to a v8 you know!?
All of the bushes, bar the toe arm bushes and the caster bushes on the car are hardrace Ray. It's only started doing it since Honda replaced that shock absorber.

Ok this is where it gets weird. Parked the car up and bounced it up and down. Metallic creaking noise. Gone back to it three hours later. No noise??
Hopefully if it is the ARB links Ray then next time I'm at yours, I'll be able to have a look when I get hold of Ron's earlier ARB's.

Sounds like my original ones , had some one stand in the boot and bounce , i could feel the noise from the ARB's .
I was maybe lucky I managed to get mine off ok , lots have problems with the Hex socket in the end of the thread and land up cutting them off. I lifted the boots on the ball joints regreased. They were a bit stiff/seized but stuck them in a vice and with the new grease wiggled them around until free and noiseless. They were still ok after about 10k miles, but when i did all my work on the car i fitted new ones , e bay specials they seem fine I think they were about £30 for all four.
I am sure Ray can sort you out in any case
