Crank ventilation using the vacuum pump
I was wondering why this wasn't more prominent on boosted S2000s, electric vacuum pumps are usually something the Americans are into but with all the crank pressure associated problems people are getting with boosted engines I was surprised to see that this isn't a common modification.
I was thinking, as I now don't need the vacuum pump, that I could plumb it in to my catch tank and use a spare output on the ECU to activate a relay which in turn switches on the vacuum pump. If I use a TPS setting on about 80% to activate it I figure that when you are giving the engine some work to do the pump would cut in and evacuate the crank case gases.
Now the problem with this is that I haven't seen it done before so figure that there must be a good reason for it and I have overlooked it.
Any input would be appreciated.
