My crank pulley seems to be wobbling and making a squeaky bearing sound car has a comptech sc fitted. Noise started yesterday sounded like a squeaky bearing nothing bad so today was garage day, upon inspection crank pulley seems to be wobbling when engine is running so took charger belt off noise went quieter grabbed pulley and i can wobble it straight away I thought has bolt come loose so checked torque and it's still tight got upto 190nm on wrench and still wasn't moving any ideas people as car is undriveable at present

If its the crank pulley, there aren't any bearings on the crank pulley, its probably the rubber insert part disintegrating.
New crank pulley required and the tightening torque is 181 Ib/ft or 245 nm.

The pulley bolts solidly to the crank so I don't understand how it can be torqued up and still wobble.Further investigation is needed. Its not the supercharger pulley moving is it?
Once you have undone the crank bolt a quarter of a turn you can remove it and the pulley by hand without any tools.

Just be certain it is an actual wobble.
Damper pulleys are normally made of 3 pieces (I'd have to have a look at an S's again to remind myself of the ones on them. An inner metal piece, an outer metal piece and a rubber ring in between to act as the damper the inportant bit is how concentric the outer circumference is to the centre.
I've spent a lot of time in the past measuring and proving to someone that the pulley was perfectly fine and good to use when the pulley looked to be wobbling all over the place. The inner piece was wobbling but the outer was fine and concentric and perfectly ok but it created an optical illusion of the whole thing wobbling.
