JamieM I'd like to see a dyno sheet on that, considered this mod myself but wondered if if was worth the effort.
just seems a bit more responsive, but does sound better, probably doesnt give any power gains though.

OK, Update...

Firstly i moved my I-pod to the glove compartment, breaking about 4 red poppers on the centre console carpet as they had gone bittle, ( trip to honda was made haha )

Much better as now it isnt in the way,

I loved the idea of having the S-pods and they looked quite easy to make sooo

I firstly made some templates out of cardboard which have been ajusted many times lol

I then aquired some stainless from work

Much cutting and filing and sanding later i had some plates made

I trial fitted these to the car a few times before they actually came out the right size!
i can see how much work went into making the original templates, but now i have them

Here is 1 of the front plates marked out. progress is still being made

ile keep you updated if your interested

You need to crease the rears to allow for the change in direction at the edge of the roll hoops.
You also need to curve the fronts top to bottom.

S Pods are enclosures to fit speakers in the roll hoop. (see my pics above!)
Originally done by a guy in the US.
I used to make them as well.

Mikey, from the pictures im following i dnt think the front parts need curving,im making a cover for the speakers so they cant be seen i no the backs need a bend in them on the outisde edge,

how did u no were to drill the holes to mount the 2 plates together???

I doubt you will hide the speakers there is not enough room.
I used a long punch tool once I was happy with the alignments of all the components.
Another problem you are going to have is bolting the two sections together

Measure twice cut once
