From a 63 year oldie, respect for the Polo - neat and classy when it could have been SO Chav-like.
Respect again for choosing the Honda S2000 when you could have been predictable and chosen any number of Jap go-fast saloons ( usually in blue with silly big wings !!).

Such cars are about.
At the recent Goodwood Breakfast Club meet I encountered a 1991 MX-5 with only 9000 miles. It was EXACTLY as it left the factory, complete with orginal pull-out radio.
The owner had bought it new as a retirement present to himself, and had resisted adding any extras or the numerous tinsel chrome bits or plastic wood trim that adorn nearly every MX-5 you see.
Trouble was he hardly ever drives the dam thing and was actually whingeing that mud and stones had been heard hitting the undersides of the car, which also had got wet on the drive to the event.
I had to laugh though, for when I examined the gleaming red paintwork in the bright sunlight there could be seen numerous swirl marks, so the prat had not even learnt to clean the car properly, yet he was supposed to be pampering it.

Well i went to collect it this morning and it was pissing it down!!
Luckily the car was brought inside were it was all dry and everything as visible.
the tyres are what ppl have said to look out for all brand new!!
I drove it for the first time in severe weather conditions and it was fine.
i didnt boot it mind u, 50 in 6th gear, no more than 4k revs
Here is a Picture for you non-believers
There isnt a mark on it, ive been in contact with the previous owner who brought it from new 7 years ago and he was pleased to here from me as he only sold it due to a child popping along.
the only issue i have is the leather is abit darkish, ive seen some with a really vibrant red , is this just a cleaning issue? i so i dnt know how to get it back to its former glory.
had fun finding the petrol cap release for the first time, abit embarresing to say the least

Good choice of colour/ Interior by far the most attractive on an
S2000,-)
If you had trouble with the fuel cap I wonder how long before you discover the "Secret" Compartments?
Take it easy, take of the air box lid!!

I discovered the secret compartment under the wind deflector a minute ago after searching secret on here. cant put much in there to be fair.
I thought it would be alot faster than what it is seems to take ages to pick up the revs...
I took off the airbox lid to find a massive cone filter?.... is that standard?
i dnt really want to leave it off as water might get in??
Anything else i should know?

It needs to be revved hard and kept on the boil over 6k revs

GREGSTERWIZ : Thankyou for your concerns. i haven't given it enough boot and i dnt really want to at the moment because its wet, i think i may of hit the Vtec once and it did seem to pick up quick but i couldn't shift the to 3rd quick enough because im not used to the close gearbox yet.
Think its best i just be a granny still
