You must be paying through the nose for insurance!!
Although I had a group 16 when I was 21.....
It's funny, I can't speak for everyone, but I'm glad I've got to 30 before I've driven something this quick and lively. I think I'd have killed myself if I had done it in my 20's. Just be careful, and take your time. Don't rise to the bait from idiots that want to race you. Give it 6 months when you'll be more confident and able in the car, and also the weather will be better, before you really start pushing the envelope.
There's me sounding like a veteran - I only picked my S up 2 weeks ago!!
Have fun, but keep it steady.
Still very impressed at trying this so young!!! ;-) And chucking in the

You'll go along way with the spelling on here, just pre warning you.
I wasnt much older than you when i got my first S.
Just be careful, take it easy and enjoy, you need to take care this time of the year.

I appoligise for my spelling , i will try to announce my punctuation a little better
So is there anything i should be looking for on Saturday when i go to collect my S?
also i really need to know the tax prices for 6 months and a year please, sorry to be a pain!
My dad is saying that the car will get damp being on the drive during the winter. is this true.
i hate joining new forums, i don't know anything about the car at all and feel pretty useless and venerable at the moment.....
Hope i will get to feel at home here because i am very much into maintaining my cars myself as i am a mechanical fitter
Thank you for your reply's so far

shouldnt get damp on the drive, mine doesnt.
take it easy in the wet, very easy - just drive like a granny for the first few weeks as the limits are pretty close and you dont want to go hurting anyone or yourself
in the dry and in a straight line have fun!

Nice 1 guys, yes i think i will be a little nervous in the wet to say the least!
the 1 thing i don't like about my car is the wheels but i have previously won several trophy's with my old polo in the past so im looking forward to having a play with this in the future!
I take it there isn't much to look out for then when i go to pick it up
Here is a Pic of my polo if any1 is interested.
I think going fom 100bhp to a s2000 is going to be quite impressive?
Are they a first time smiler when u put your foot down ?

You will feel a bit vulnerable as some people on here are a bit touchy about spelling and grammar but you have got a lot going for you as you are polite, enthusiastic, do your own maintenance and are a mechanical fitter to boot.
I'm a granny and I don't agree with TimEdwards that you should drive your S like me until you get used to it.
Just spotted another amusing error. "I'm so exited." Take it easy to start with. We don't want you making an early exit.
Congratulations on your purchase. Your Polo looks like you have lavished love on it.
