Cracked Windscreen [visited Autoglass: pics pg2]

Yup mine is just generic laminate glass, nice tint and no marks and fits well. Happy with that and not prepared to pay out for something just because it has Honda stamped on it.

I am having fun with Autoglass in Feltham. I had a 8 inch crack appear and arranged for the screen to be replaced. They told me it would be a couple of hours so I left it with them. They rang 5 hours later saying it was ready for collection and off I went to pick it up. When I got there they said they have had a couple of issues. Firstly the guy smashed my rear view mirror to peices and I will have to wait a few days for them to get one in from Honda and the rubber seal they have fitted isnt the right one and that is also on order from Honda. I also, apparently, have to wait at least a week befor they can remove the new screen to re-do the seal, something about the adhesive having to completely harden before they remove the screen?? So in a nutshell, I have a crappy looking seal and no rear veiw mirror until they get their act together.
Anyway, I am not best pleased!

Toully - would this be yesterday?? Your S2000 may be the one they referred to, to me, on the phone yesterday (see my posts above).
I got a call from them this morning to tell me they've ordered the trim from Honda Ruislip and its due in this afternoon, so that my appointment with them is still on track for tomorrow morning...
EDIT: it was a guy called Ryan that I've been dealing with, who actually has been pretty helpful and proactive. When I aired disappointment at how they've messed you about, I was greeted with "oh don't worry, you won't have that fitter doing yours, you'll have Gary, who's our most experienced technician"... ...hmm...

Thats funny, I thought I recognised your name!
I'll let you know how things go but I'm not happy with them, they are supposed to do this sort of thing for a living!
Hope yours goes OK!
