Default Cracked rear plastic screen

I have used the search and the majority of topics state, 'just replace with the glass screen soft top' which I do understand is the best option.

Basically, put the top down today, not even cold and the plastic screen appeared to not fold conventionally and had a kink whilst going down and 'crack' before it was too late. The split is literally about an inch long. Has anyone used something similar to this stuff or this and how does it hold out as a temporary resolve until I can go for the glass screen soft top option...?

Thanks in advance,

Carlip

I must admit, I just used brown packaging tape on the inside until I could afford the replacement with glass screen. Kept the water out and worked just fine for me and cost nothing! Looks naff with top up, but that's a rare event!

Theres a product called Plastic weld, basically an epoxy resin, but specifically for plastics. Might be worth a look at
