Cracked Plastic Rear Screen
Hi All Soz, its been awhile!
Am just after some help/advice please.
Recently when lowering my hood my plastic rear screen (MY00) cracked, doh! About 4 inches long. I have an extended warranty with the wear and tear option but Honda have denied my claim. Is there anything I can do 2 appeal this decision? Surely, this should b covered by warranty? Its not reasonable 2 expect this part 2 break is it??
Failing that, from this site I gather a replacement from Honda is gonna cost me

in my view a plastic rear window should not crack at 4 years old and as such is a warranty issue. i would take it up with honda uk as they have the power to overturn the decision. go direct, because sometimes the dealers are not the most helpful when it comes to warranty claims.
incidentily, the rear window on my girlfriends mx5 lasted 11 years without cracking before the hood was replaced.

Speak to them till your blue in the face Dan they prob wont shift
I tried with some wear marks/ small holes in my roof only to be told the extended warrenty doesnt cover the roof ,even if it doesnt say it in the paper work ,must get a legal begal to look over it one day to see what they think
Good luck though dont let the buggers get you down at HUK
