Default couple of questions...

ok having a hard time finding a local uk insurance company that will take me being 24, not even having a uk license... and having a s2k, damn group 20
some will do me at 25 but the price is nuts

any younger guys care to share thier insurance comps with me?
i did read the ins post but no one answered my qs in there

also custom plates, i checked the DVLA but whats the easiest way to get them and what is the cost per year for them
mine might look funny
would i get a regular long plate for the front and small for the back
since my car is made with a shorter plate in the rear since its usdm
though i dont recall if yours is the same way

what is the max letters or least amount of letters?

Evan, have a look at the insurance comparison spreadsheet to see what some guys use...
http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=187676

Get your registration from here:
http://www.dvla-som.co.uk/home/

its nothing per year, as long as it is on a vehicle. You pay upfront for the private number and a transfer fee.

Re insurance, are you coming over here for "work" and bringing your S, this is why you need UK insurance?

Not sure about plates

Are you in an Automobile Association in the US that could give you info on driving your car abroad?

US Embassy in the UK?

You could maybe try a search for importers of US cars into the UK (there are plenty here) - they may know about the plate thing, and could perhaps advise on insurance.
