Default Could of died yo!

So on Sunday I was driving the 'other car' to the airport, when something slightly bigger than a golf ball sized smashed into the windscreen cracking it. This got me thinking if I was in the S with the roof down (nice day, so likely) it could of smashed my head, car and windscreen being lower etc. I reckon it would of been enough to knock me out and crash, it happened on a duel carriage way so traveling at 70+.

Any else know of, or had any thing like this happening causing accidents?

I have had a gold ball hit the roof of a car I was driving, put a decent dent in it.

there are always lots of close calls, best just to ignore them or we will find you hiding under your bed afraid of the world

gold ball, must have been a low flying male eagle !

I know some one who had a low flying 40ft container land on his roof!

Was doing >100mph when my steering arm broke at the weekend. Admittedly, could have smashed into a wall and been in a lot of trouble but it never even crossed my mind.

Butterfly effect. In another car any number of things could have put you at a different point on the road.

As I was leaving work a few years back our HSE stopped me, wound my window down thinking he'd seen something up and was stopping me and asked if I wanted to do the fire martial course. Said no and drove off.

Van pulled in front of me on the roundabout about 3 minutes later. Had I not been stopped, or I'd stayed no crash.

Compensation for that crash went towards buying the S2k. Butterfly effect

How far does your head stick out above the windscreen?
