Cost to spray rear bumper in RNBP
Curious to know what people think it should cost to get a rear bumper that's already in primer sprayed in RNBP. Literally just the bumper, none of the garnish (as I've discovered it's termed).
I just had a quote from my local dealer and almost fell off the chair when they quoted me £791 for new rear bumper, to spray it RNBP and to fit it.
I know Lings sell the bumper for about £280 and Si at Hendy can get it me cheaper, so my dealer is asking around £500 to spray it and put it on.. does this sound reasonable or should I be looking elsewhere to get the work done..

Thanks chaps; Just as I suspected.
I'll try a couple of other local'ish Honda dealers and see what they say but I suspect it's more a case of finding a good local bodyshop in order to get a sensible price?
Is the bumper easy to get off/put on and exchange all of the 'garnish' over (number plate holder etc) ?

I just had mine repaired, it had a large scratch on one side of the rear bumper. They did it for £90 and its a great job. Being RNBP doenst make it more expensive. They are doing my front bumper for £220 so no more then that.

Out of curiosity, where did you get it done? I need some paintwork done, and as I live close to you it would be interesting to get a quote form the guys you used to compare it with the one I already have.

A company in Salisbury, they do all the work for the Honda garage in Salisbury. In fact they gave me his contact details. I will try and find his number again.

I've been quoted around £200 to spray the bumper in RNBP and to fit; local independant.
One thing that bothered me a little though was that the guy straight away impressed upon me that the colour might not be a perfect match, saying that matching old paint and new wont always give perfect results (ie, old paint on wings and boot etc and new paint on freshly painted bumper); He said it might match OK but he can't guarantee it.
Anyhow, £200 is better than Honda's eye watering £500 for the same work.
