Corrosion on '02 wheels anyone ?
#21
I have an MY00 and after reading much about it on this site, I had mine changed (even though I didn't think they were that bad at the time) about 2 weeks before my 3 year warranty ran out.
The dealer said he'd seen worse and didn't fancy my chances of getting the exchange under warranty (but he'd give it a try) and so took pictures of all my wheels and sent off to Honda. A few days later he called and said he was already in possession of my new wheels in and when could I get the car in for fitting ....wicked!!!
Here are pics of my wheels (MY00) to give you an idea of what to look for. I'd wait until about 4 weeks before your warranty runs out. These were the worst examples that were used as evidence (for Honda's benefit). When you stand back and just generally look at the wheels you would hardly notice the problem. Make sure your dealer gets 'real close- ups' like these!!! to exaggerate the effect a little.
[sorry to take up so much space with the big pics]
