After the dealer refused to help when I last had the car serviced, I wrote Honda UK a letter (with a lot of help from Satsuma )
They replied within a week saying that they don't normally do out of warranty claims, but would see what they could do after talking to the dealer first. Perhaps to assess the severity of corrosion and to verify my bleating on about how long I'ved owned Hondas what a loyal customer I am.
They also want the dealer to provide them with costing so the two parties can discuss it with a view to HUK making a contribution.
So I now have to present the letter to the dealer and explain the situation. Don't know why they don't get in touch with them themselves, nor why they can't obtain costing
That's where I am so far.

My wheels on my Feb 05 S2k are showing corrosion on the spokes as it seems is fairly common reading some of the older threads here. The car has done 15200 miles and been garaged all its life. I do realise I am outside the 3 year warranty period.
I took them to Lincoln Honda who took photos to send to Honda UK. They have come back with an offer of 4 new wheels for
I had a similar problem and managed to get 2 replaced by Honda when the car had 6 months warranty left on it. However within 18 months all the alloys had some sort of corrosion
Rather than buy new ones, I had mine refurbed by Pristine Wheels in Woburn Sands - a bit far for you but they do a delivery package. As "lower" rightly said, the Honda lacquer quality is pretty micky mouse

The price you've been quoted is about the same as I got my replacements from Honda for earlier this year.
You should check that they'll let you keep the corroded wheels ('cos you should manage to sell them on here fairly easily - I could have sold mine 4 or 5 times over!) and whether or not they include new centre caps.
If you can keep the old ones, I would definitely accept their offer.
