The amount you would need to put in to raise the coolant level up an inch in the expansion tank, you could piss in it with no ill effect to be perfectly honest (should you feel the need of course).
Rob, does your dealer sell you special air to go in the tyres too?

Argon. But my coolant is fine.
my thoughts are based on experience, my ex had a Suzuki Cappuccino a few years back and put in water when the system was dry ( no idea how much ) and a few weeks later it blew up. Who knows if it was related.
Anyway, like I said, WTFDIK?

I was going to post on this as I recently found mine to be a little 'under.'
I've bought some proper Honda Type 2 coolant. My Dad was going to give me some of his, from his Accord, but that is different, 'Type 1' stuff.
So, do yourself a favour and get some Honda Type 2 coolant, or whatever the other branded stuff may be.

Here is the quote from ESM.
[QUOTE]
5. After the coolant has drained, apply liquid gasket to the drain bolt threads, then reinstall the bolt with a new washer and tighten it securely.
6. Tighten the radiator drain plug securely.
7. Remove, drain and reinstall the reservoir.

so if you own a volvo does that mean you can only put volvo antifreeze (sorry coolant ) in?
what if you drive a rover,or a ford, or a range rover, or a....shall i go on?
you need antifreeze with inhibitors in it suitable for aluminium radiators at a mix of 50%.
the inhibitor is an anti corrosive aditive.
but you could always pay honda more of your money to have a container with their name on it.

don't think so dave, just the right kind of antifreeze for the car - as per the site. I'm sure any manufacturer will recommend their own products, but if you can find an alternative with the same makup I expect it would be cheaper. If Honda made oil for the S2000 do you think they'd recommend it?
