Default connecting the KCE Alpine adaptor

All my stuff turned up today from Lucid. I'm well impressed with it.

I have connected the Alpine loom to the adaptor, but I have one question.

The illumination wire (orange) on the headunit loom is a single wire and not connected to any ISO blocks, it has a bullett connector on the end of it. Can I splice this into the orange wire on the KCE adaptor (which clearly says dash illumination)?

Even if this is OK, I'm not sure it's 100% worth doing as the illumination control on the S is a bit iffy.

thanks

Forget the illumination/dimmer wire. Not v. reliable in my experience.

Stuff from Lucid looks great. What speakers are the fronts?

Franky,

Those Lucid goodies look pretty damn cool to me.

As luck would have it, I am currently contemplating fitting your exact chosen set up in my S. Wonder if you could let me know what sort of prices and where you procured the Alpine HU & Adaptor and also price shipped of the Lucid rear set-up. Are there any special DO's & DON'T's when it comes to fitting the new gear?

Any info. you can provide will be most appreciated.

Chris

I believe that the excessive size of some people's sigs caused cthree to change the forums so that they show the sig only on a person's first post in each thread.
